SLN Special: "INDIE-GO" Gig and a short story of 25th April
So here it is,
The entry I've been dying to put on,
And hopefully the entry everyone- involved or not involved,
Dying to read,
Wishing they had their pictures taken.
I present to you:
INDIE-GO gig at Hong Lim Park,
Organised by non other than Smoke Party Productions themselves.
And of course,
The bands that performed on that very day too.
The cooling music on a hot weather of,
Paddlepop
The most fashionable in both apparels and rock music,
The 21s
The experts on catchy tunes of rock and roll,
Love Jets
The music which brings you high on ectasy,
Crackerjack
The ones who works their every song into perfection,
Blind Meets Mute
The grand revival of old school rock music,
The Pinholes
The comedians who writes their randomness into great music,
The Zozi
And finally,
The one I'm superbly proud of,
Who will one day make it big after their tunes mature more and more,
With each meet-ups that comes along.
The one whom makes my life as bright as it can gets,
My band;
Melfraps
*Rewinds SLN's tape to 1045 hours on 25/4/2009*
Met up with Wana at Simei MRT and off we went to meet the others at Clarke Quay,
Ate at Melfraps' favourite,
Long John Silvers.
While I bought a Caramel Frappe to show my support,
To my own band.
Uh.
Yeah.
Saw Blind Meets Mute eating there too,
Perhaps in future we could have another band joining us each time we go LJS,
Which is to be exact,
Every single fucking time.
And after the meal we finally went to-
*ZAPPPPZUPPPPKUZAPPPZAPZAP*
*Forwards to 1400 hours at Hong Lim Park*
Made-in-Sabah carwasher with the Mercedes SLR 55 owner
Was hoping I could be the first one who will takes the mic off the stand
And the unimaginable happens,
Feeling devastated of not being able to make history being the first one,
To take the mic off the stand,
I went up to Roy,
Who was drinking red bull,
PLING!
Came a thought.
"Simple, Mr big mama. Get me two cans of blue/silver cans of redbull. NOW!"
Lan was eagerly seen waiting for his two cans of power redbull
The redbulls arrived at last.
The Portuguese vocalist- Lan,
Has the habit of consuming red bulls just before gigs to increase his nervousness on stage,
What sounded more negative than positive,
He actually loves being really nervous on stage.
That's the hype which keeps him going.
Blue/Silver redbulls,
What more,
Two of them.
Leading him into severe nervous breakdown
With the help of his "supporters",
"WE ARE GOING TO EASE HIM!"
"TURN HIM ON!"
"TURN HIM OFF!" (45% effort more needed)
"AND HE'S GOOD TO GO!"
"Watch me baby, Melfraps will bring the stage to a whole new level."
With a last photoshoot backstage,
Melfraps was finally,
READY TO HIT THEM HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*resting finger due to cramps*!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's hard for me coming directly after Blind Meets Mute due to our height differences, (no offence intended though :D)
One last release of sexual urge on the stand
All the sessions,
All the jammings,
All the red bulls,
All the stressing out on parts.
It finally kicks into a whole adventure.
Eh wrong Lan,

After about 30 mins of pure enjoyment by music means,
Melfraps was finally done with their biggest gig they ever had.
Nothing like end-of-the-show photoshoot.

Most of the bands that performed at Hong Lim Park will again be performing alongside us too,
